The dawn of another blog! Its been some time in coming, but hopefully this will help me get off my massive ass and do more comic strips and possibly interact more with my friends again instead of being a werk recluse.....
the documentary wasnt all that but the man is summat else! pimped up style, silky smooth tones mf gotit goin awn. i only really heard me and mrs jones before but its far from his most interessant moment. check this one fer starters :) there arent any good vintage moments on yootoob ah well.
right im off to paint more kitchen cupboard doors now..
I went to the Saatchi gallery to see their British art now exhibition. It was very interestin altho I am still fucked off that you can't go to the apex of the hole in Robert wilsons oil room being that that is meant to be the main experience of viewing it? I particularly liked this dude who did that 60s style thread patterns thing. There was a scarier devil bunny thing one too but it didn't photograph very well so we'll have to make do with this one. Course you could go an see it in real 3G life?
i saw this. it is offensively violent and misogynist and generally rather good fun! 7/10. also i saw the tron trailer at the same time and am currently in pisspants excitedness although lets face it its gunna be a let down?...
I finally got round to watching this just now after it sitting there for 2 weeks. It was quite peculiar and looks amazing! fairly majorly ruined by vinnie jones tho. In fact just watch the trailer. It doesnt get any better...
It also had Hammer and Tongs doing a Q & A afterwards, which i chanced upon as i only really wanted to see the film. Anyway the Q & A was more of just a Q really as they didnt make the film and are only trying to help get more publicity for it and therefore didnt really know much about it. It was on TV in the mid nineties i seem to remember? but it really cheered my day up. It follows the badly animated adventures of Horse, Indian and Cowboy and thats all i can really say about it? oh....its in french too so if you cant read i wouldnt bother :)
Here is the trailer for it. It is flippin fantastic!
Did Jim Phillips find the inspiration for the artwork of the classic Santa Cruz Bullet wheel of the 80s and 90s in the form of a 16th century Maltese flag?
I just watched this. Its pretty good! A kind of "pre-Let The Right One In". I think he made it after Dawn Of the Dead? Oh no he didnt I just checked it was after "O.J. Simpson: Juice on the Loose"?? SHIT I think i found the next thing I wannu see!! Here is the trailer.
I couldnt find any footage of Juice On The Loose. :(
This is my first attempt at putting a picture into this and.......it didnt werk! :) hmmmm. This is going to be fairly uninteresting if there aint no visual stimuli!!
Well anyways today i rediscovered The Dead Milkman via a ukulele cover version on youtoob.
I did love this song and now i do again! I also quite like Pippi's peculiar dead grandma wail? Somehow she manages to get that pitch that only old ladies can achieve. Well done her!
I also read Luke Haines book "Bad Vibes" about his time in The Auteurs and being inside the spaccy Britpop bubble. It was a rather amusing and brisk bitch fest. That man had sum lotta ego!
In other noos i bought this....aaaah fuk it still dont werk!....uh so i bought a ghanaian painted film poster off ebay that i am well excited about. A picture of which i will try and post via the mail2 ting?
Following my banishment from the world of facebook and social networking, (although you can still find me in the deep recesses of myspac! Since you ask, ya Tom's fine! He got over the cancer).
This is where you can now banter me to yer hearts content and i can show you stuff ive done, things ive drawn/ shorn/ eaten/ beaten/ places ive been/ people ive been? So hold onto yer logic board hats and lets see how long it is till i get chucked off here too!
